Hi All!

First and foremost, we've just passed the momentous Groundhog's Day celebration, a day of joy and happiness for those of us who are so anticipating spring!

My folks actually flew to Punxsutawney, PA for the celebration this year and had a great time meeting Phil, the groundhog. He's a fat and happy fellow by all accounts and my folks had a great time at the party only farmers could think was "cool"!

As is to be expected this time of year, I haven't had much to say.

Things are progressing nicely for next year and we're starting to see new crops like Egyptian bunching onions and baby turnips coming back into season, but for the most part, the growing things are moving slowly.

We're gaining over an hour of daylight a month now, and it can only get better... so I'm going to go do the Snoopy dance in the greenhouse tomorrow and enjoy my extra two minutes of daylight for all I'm worth!

New items will be slowly showing up on the list, including our next batch of radishes hopefully some time next month. Please bear in mind that I avoid harassing y'all with emails when I can, so the easiest thing to do is check at http://www.jayhillfarm.com/order.html to see if there's something new in stock. I also recommend checking this for egg availability.

The ladies don't like this back and forth weather we're having and I'm pretty consistently sold out due to their slow laying. You can always order in advance for the next date I've listed them as available!

We're also coming up on Valentine's day. While some of us *ahem* don't have much to do this Sunday, I do have a recommendation for those of you who want to celebrate in a wonderful setting. 4580, our fervently supportive restaurant is holding its annual Valentine's day dinner all weekend!

I went last year with my good friend Jason and it was absolutely AMAZING (yes, really, all caps AMAZING).

Here's the menu they've set up for the weekend:

VALENTINE'S WEEKEND

SECOND

Cheers,

Rowan
